Due to the desire of the seller to make the product more visible on the shelf, the necessary information about the product is lost in the bright design and promotional information.

Technical Regulations of the Customs Union "Food products in terms of their labeling" (TR TS 022/2011) requirements for labeling of food products have been established, By the decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission from 14 September 2018 g. № 75 changes were made to the TR CU 022/2011, which set the requirements, including, and to the font size.

28 April 2021 g. the transitional period for the change in the technical regulations of the Customs Union for the labeling of food products has ended (TR TS 022/2011).

So, name of food products, information on the amount of food products, date of manufacture and expiration date (except for words, used to indicate the date of manufacture, expiration date and (or) information about the place where the date of manufacture is applied, expiration date (if such information is available)) must be indicated in a font with a height of at least 2 mm (lower case).

Information on the composition of products, storage conditions, name and location of the food manufacturer, recommendations and (or) restrictions on use, and also the words, used to indicate the date of manufacture, expiration date and (or) information about the place where the date of manufacture is applied, expiration date (if such information is available), must be indicated in a font with a height of at least 0,8 mm (lower case).

The requirements for the minimum font size for marking the nominal quantity of packaged food products are also established in the STB 8019-2002.

Requirements for the minimum font size are intended to increase the accessibility of information on consumer packages for reading and perception., help consumers better navigate when choosing a product with the properties they need.

Grodno Regional Inspectorate of Gosstandart when carrying out control and supervisory measures in shopping facilities of the city. Grodno, as a result of tests carried out in an accredited laboratory,  established, that the marking of the nominal quantity of the fruit bar with cereals "Yabloko, to dry, fennel, cereals", fruit bar with cereals "Apple, carrot, oatmeal "in polymer packaging, Net weight 20 g, manufacturer LEOVITnutrio LLC, Russia, did not meet the requirements, established by TR CU 022/2011 and STB 8019-2002: the minimum font height was less than 2 mm.

The specified packaged food products are prohibited for sale.

Release of products into circulation, in respect of which there are mandatory requirements for compliance with the technical regulations of the Customs Union, Eurasian Economic Union, in violation of the relevant technical requirements, as well as violation of the requirements for prepackaged goods - shall entail the imposition of a fine.
