This holiday in the minds of our people combines joy and sorrow, solemnity and trepidation. And he is especially dear to people, who went through the harsh trials of the Great Patriotic War.
As a sign of great gratitude for the feat of the generation of winners, we express our deepest respects to you, dear veterans, for our peaceful life, for the opportunity to study, work, hope and dream. We are sincerely grateful to you for your feasible participation in the patriotic education of youth, preservation of military-historical memory - that moral support, which helps us create and strengthen peace in our native land.
Sure, that for the residents of the city of Grodno this memory will never lose its significance. After all, our land took the blow of the enemy and inspired the entire Soviet people to wage a cruel and uncompromising war against fascism.
We are proud of the heroic past of our Motherland and are aware of the enormous responsibility of being the heirs of the great generation.
And today our main task is to work together, conscientious work, with professionalism and discipline to increase the gains of Victory, to serve one's Fatherland sincerely and selflessly, continuing the glorious traditions of our fathers and grandfathers.
A ceremonial meeting with laying of flowers took place 9 May at the foot of the Mound of Glory in the city of Grodno, from the management and employees of the Grodno Regional Inspectorate of the State Standard, roses were laid at the memorial monument in honor of the 77th anniversary of the Great Victory.
