On the announcement of a competition for the Prize of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for achievements in the field of quality in 2023 year

During 2023 g. a competition for the Prize of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for achievements in the field of quality has been announced (hereinafter - Government Prize). It is held annually in accordance with the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated 5 November 1998 g. № 1705.

Currently, the Government Prize is the most authoritative project in the republican competitive movement for quality. The holding of this competition makes it possible to single out leading enterprises among Belarusian organizations, who build the strategy and tactics of their development on the basis of quality, and ensures recognition of their achievements at the state level.

Participants of the competition adopt modern principles and ideas, embodied in the Government Prize model, demonstrate a strong command of effective management methods, high performance and sustainable development in the face of modern challenges.

WITH 2022 g. the competition is held according to the updated model, which includes seven criteria. Two criteria are included in the "Direction" criteria group, three - in the group of criteria "Implementation" and two - "Results".

The award is awarded on a competitive basis to legal entities, regardless of ownership, for achieving significant results in the field of quality and competitiveness of products, services rendered or work performed, introduction of innovative technologies and modern management methods, as well as for efficient and socially responsible business conduct.

The award is given to organizations with a workforce of:

- to 250 person;

− from 250 to 1500 person;

− over 1500 person

in five areas of activity:

− production of non-food household products;

− production of food and agricultural products;

− production of industrial and technical products (except for weapons and military equipment);

− provision of services and performance of works;

− execution of works and provision of services in the field of construction.

The selection of the winners of the competition is carried out in two stages: based on the results of verification of the submitted materials and by conducting an examination on the ground using an assessment in points. To the second stage of the competition (for on-site examination) organizations are allowed, scored as a result of expert evaluation of materials not less than 250 points.

To confirm the title of the winner of the competition, organizations must demonstrate: improvement of performance compared to results, achieved during the previous participation in the competition; participation in similar competitions in the field of quality (eg, in the CIS, etc.); measures to promote achievements in the field of quality and effective management and dissemination of best practices.

During 2023 g. organizations - laureates of the Government Prize 2020 g. have the right to confirm the title of laureate.

Decision on determining the laureates and diplomats of the Government Prize, as well as organizations, winners of special competition awards, adopted by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.

Winners (laureate, diploma student, as well as organizations, honored with special awards) awarded at a special ceremony. Laureates are awarded a diploma and a symbol of the Government Prize, as well as the right to use for three years the image of the emblem of the Government Prize when labeling products and on its packaging, for promotional purposes and documentation.

Information about the winners of the competition is posted on the Gosstandart website, portal "Quality.bel", and are also included in the annually published catalog “Laureates of the Prize of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for Achievements in the Field of Quality”.
