Currently, many cars have tachographs installed., the main task of which is the automatic registration of vehicle movement parameters. Modern tachographs record vehicle mileage, travel speed, driver's driving and rest time, and also register all data and store it securely.
According to the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On ensuring the uniformity of measurements” and the resolution of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus dated 20.04.2021 № 39 “On the list of categories of measuring instruments”, measuring instruments, intended for use in measurements in the field of legal metrology and specified in the list of measuring instruments, subject to state verification, which can only be carried out by legal entities, authorized by Gosstandart in accordance with the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Belarus No. 3848-XII dated 05.09.1995 Year “On Ensuring the Uniformity of Measurements” and the Regulations on the Authorization of Legal Entities, approved by the resolution of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus dated 27.11.2020 № 81.
At the same time, the department of state metrological supervision of the Grodno regional inspection of the State Standard during control (oversight) activities, cases are identified, when on tachographs, used in the field of legal metrology, verification certificates are provided, issued by legal entities, not authorized to carry out state verification. In such cases, the measuring instrument, is considered not to have passed state verification, for the operation of which a business entity may be held administratively liable in accordance with part 2 articles 24.9 Of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
The Grodno Regional Inspectorate of Gosstandart warns business entities to be more careful when choosing legal entities for state verification of tachographs, operated on vehicles.
