Competition for the Prize of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for achievements in the field of quality (hereinafter – Prize) is carried out annually in accordance with the resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated 5 November 1998 g. №1705.
The award is an authoritative project in the republican competitive movement for quality, which allows you to identify leading enterprises among Belarusian organizations, building their development strategy and tactics based on quality, and ensures recognition of their achievements at the state level.
The award is awarded on a competitive basis to legal entities, regardless of ownership, for achieving significant results in the field of quality and competitiveness of products, services rendered or work performed, introduction of innovative technologies and modern management methods, as well as for efficient and socially responsible business conduct.
The Award model includes seven criteria, two of which make up the “Direction” group, three – group of criteria “Execution” and two – “Results”.
The group of criteria “Direction” reveals the issues of determining the direction of development of the organization, setting goals, formation of organizational culture and leadership support.
The group of criteria “Execution” directly considers the processes of production of products or provision of services, technology development opportunities, implementation of innovations and improvement, as well as interaction with stakeholders.
The group of criteria “Results” reflects the indicators achieved by the organization in relation to meeting the needs and expectations of consumers, own staff, external stakeholders and a set of key results for core activities.
When assessing an organization, it is viewed from different angles., since the criteria of the model cover all aspects of the organization’s activities and allow us to evaluate it as a whole.
Using the Award model allows you to obtain the basic structure for the organization's management system, evaluate, where the organization is on the path to excellence, understand key strengths and potential gaps regarding the stated development strategy and long-term success.
The award is given to organizations with a workforce of:
- to 250 person;
− from 250 to 1500 person;
− over 1500 person
in five areas of activity:
− production of non-food household products;
− production of food and agricultural products;
− production of industrial and technical products (except for weapons and military equipment);
− provision of services and performance of works;
− execution of works and provision of services in the field of construction.
The selection of the winners of the competition is carried out in two stages: based on the results of verification of the submitted materials and by conducting an examination on the ground using an assessment in points. To the second stage of the competition (for on-site examination) organizations are allowed, scored as a result of expert evaluation of materials not less than 250 points.
To confirm the title of the winner of the competition, organizations must demonstrate: improvement of performance compared to results, achieved during the previous participation in the competition; participation in similar competitions in the field of quality; measures to promote achievements in the field of quality and effective management and dissemination of best practices.
AT 2026 year organizations - Prize laureates 2023 year have the right to confirm the title of laureate.
Decision on determining the laureates and diploma holders of the Prize, as well as organizations, winners of special competition awards, adopted by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.
Winners (laureate, diploma student, as well as organizations, honored with special awards) awarded at a special ceremony.
The laureates are awarded a diploma and a symbol of the Prize., and is also granted the right to use the image of the Prize emblem for three years when labeling products and on their packaging, for promotional purposes and documentation.
Information about the winners of the competition is posted on the Gosstandart websites, «QUALITY.WHITE», and are also included in the annually published catalog “Laureates of the Prize of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for Achievements in the Field of Quality”.
