24 May 2024 Inspectorate employees took part in an open checkers tournament, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the formation of the bodies of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus, among teams of control and supervisory authorities, law enforcement agencies and security forces of the Grodno region, which took place at the recreation center "Prival" (Grodno district, d. Donuts).
The event was organized with the aim of developing and popularizing checkers in the Grodno region as a component of the state’s social policy, aimed at strengthening the health of the nation, development of corporate relations among teams of control and supervisory authorities, law enforcement agencies and security forces of the Grodno region.
Guests of honor attended the tournament, including, Olympic champion of the XVIII Olympic Games in Tokyo, multiple USSR champion in artistic gymnastics, Honored coach Elena Volchetskaya and three-time champion of Belarus in checkers, two-time winner of silver medals at the European Championship Alexander Markin.
The winners and runners-up of the tournament were awarded diplomas, medals and personal prizes.
