The largest village in the Grodno region, which was burned along with the inhabitants, - these are Knyazhevodtsy of the Mostovsky district: during the punitive operation in the fiery inferno, about 900 person – it 6 Khatynia.

Most often, villages were burned in the summer 1943 years during anti-partisan actions. Usually, German occupiers did sweeps of places, in which partisans could hide.
