In pursuit of economy, we often forget about our own safety.. Many materials, which are used for sewing clothes and shoes, actually pose a serious health threat. To reduce the cost, unscrupulous manufacturers use low quality fabrics in the production of clothing. The severity of the effects ranges from ordinary discomfort or irritation to severe allergies.
Requirements for light industry products mandatory for application and fulfillment are set out in the technical regulations of the Customs Union TR CU 017/2011 “On the safety of light industry products”, and for children's clothing in the technical regulations of the Customs Union TR CU 007/2011 “On product safety, for children and adolescents ".
The Grodno Regional Inspectorate of the State Standard on an ongoing basis conducts control and supervision measures for clothing sold on the market.
So, в ходе проверки одного из торговых объектов в г.Ошмяны в результате испытаний в аккредитованной лаборатории, dangerous baby clothes identified, which can be sold in other retail outlets:
children's trousers "VONITO", article BK1-9999F, do not meet the requirements of TR CU 007/2011 (points 3 articles 5, Appendix 8) according to the safety indicator "hygroscopicity" – indicator was 1 % at a rate of at least 6 %;
children's blouse "Ubang", 2 layer, does not meet the requirements of TR CU 007/2011 (points 3 articles 5, Appendix 8) according to the safety indicator "hygroscopicity" – indicator was 2,9 % at a rate of at least 8 %;
leggings for children "UP BABY", do not meet the requirements of TR CU 007/2011 (points 8 articles 9) to product labeling: the labeling contains unreliable information about the type and mass fraction (percentage of) natural and chemical raw materials (the deviation of the actual value of the percentage of raw materials should not exceed 5 %) raw material content, manufacturer specified: 80% cotton, 20% polyester, actually - 96,9% viscose, 3,1% elastane;

According to the results of the inspection, the goods, not meeting the established requirements, prohibited for sale, and the Gosstandart of the Republic of Belarus for the specified products terminated the validity of certificates of conformity.
